The LDC-3736 Precision Quantum Cascade Laser Controller combines a precision laser current source with a high-power thermoelectric temperature controller specially designed to control Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs). Standard features include triple current range, high stability, and low noise current output. Maximum output current levels of 1A/2A/4A allow for control of a wide range of Quantum Cascade Lasers.
Multiple levels of laser protection are built into the controller, including slow start, adjustable current and voltage limits, intermittent contract protection, and output shorting relays. The integrated 128 W thermoelectric temperature controller will typically achieve temperature stability within ±0.003°C.
For automated testing applications in an R&D or production environment, remote operation is easily accomplished through the GPIB/IEEE-488 or USB remote interface. Automated LIV testing commands are built into the instrument firmware. For virtual instrument programming, LabVIEW® instrument drivers are available for download.
